STRATEGIC GOAL B:

 

Appropriate site selection and planning occurring for toxic runoff

INTERMEDIATE GOALS:

1. Change public/ planners understanding of the effects of potential spills, outfalls, etc
2. Establish zoning regulations for siting of potential hazmat producers
3. Promote industry standards for safeguards/ proper planning for each hazmat type
4. Advanced planning for site selection

 

STRATEGIC GOAL MEASURES:

  • increase in redevelopment for industrial properties
  • decrease industrial development in pristine areas

 

INTERMEDIATE GOAL MEASURES:

·        Increase in percentage of reach showing improved understanding of the effects of potential spills, outfalls, etc. (via survey)

·        Improve coordination of site selection process with environmental review
